Just cleaned of light even film on prisms, we also blackened the inner facing frosted side of each brass covered lower ones to slightly increase brightness and contrast. And lubed the age stiffened focuser and right eye diopter for smooth operation. This set is in remarkably great shape, especially for one made in the 1950s! A time when build quality was the highest and optics were hand finished. Just compared them to my Swift Audobon 8.5x44 made in the 1990s that has Bak-4 prisms and multicoating. This BK-7 loaded, single coated beauty was just as bright and sharp on this clear, cool autumn day!!! See pic of trees across the lake through our top sunroom window. With the screw off plastic eye cups off views really open up! It is how we use most of our Vin Bins. Case is similar fantastic shape and even has its leather carry strap. Those usually dry and disappear. All leather has been conditioned. These won't need servicing for a decade or more! One could easily pay 100+ for such work.
